Camps

Post by camlan »

Apologies if this has been brought up before. I was wondering if there were any plans to introduce camps in a follow on 'add-on' or release. I play the TT game, and I like it that you need to protect it or risk losing army attrition points.

its been brought up since beta days, they say they will likely do it in a future add on. Not sure where the priorities are in the game so you will have to be patient. Most of the scenarios are historical and camps were not really on the battlefield or played an important role in the battles.

Camps - a possible answer

Post by Triarii »

I think it can be done - in the Magnesia and scenario I have built I have used the mob carts and changed them to unit type to baggage or fortified baggage in the edit screen.
This means they cannot be moved - and so become a defacto camp.

I used four edited carts - It increased the army score needed to be reached for a win but of course as non-moveable and unprotected units the camp units are easy attrition losses if attacked.

I got the idea from a close look at the Carrhae scenario - it seems to be a nice little wrinkle
