Hi there,
Dowloaded the Grand Strategy update last night ... in the dialog box you get after clicking "download," I clicked "Run" rather than "Save."
The install process seemed to go fine, and I launched the new game but I can't seem to tell any major differences between GS and the previous V 1.12. It still says Version 1.12 at lower right ... should this be different? I only played a few turns into the 1939 scenario ... are there any telltale signs that it's Grand Strategy versus the BJR mod?
I also can't seem to find the new manual that's now available with GS.
Thanks,
YourAdmiral
How can I tell if I'm running Grand Strategy?

Did you install the expansion first?
get it here...http://www.slitherine.com/files/ceaw/Gr ... ansion.exe
Then install the Grand Strategy update.

1. Was GS working ok before you tried to apply the v1.01 beta patch?
2. Did you use the installer?
If you answered yes to both questions then I would uninstall and then reinstall GS. You can get to the uninstaller from the start menu; that is, start -> programs -> Slitherine -> Military Gold Commander Europe at War -> uninstall (I don't know if I've got the path exactly right but it's something like that).
After you uninstall it then reinstall it again.
Barring any unforseen issues, Slitherine should release an official installer version of GS v1.01 next week just in time for Christmas. If you are not having problems then the only changes that would really affect you are that Poland will now automatically activate no later than 9/21/39 if not already at war with Germany and ownership of airfield resource hexes will change if the ownership of its corresponding fort (e.g., Gibraltar, Malta) changes. The good news is that games started and saved with GS v1.00 can be continued with GS v1.01.
Also, the manual is installed along with the expansion. If you used the installer then you can find it by going to start -> programs -> Slitherine -> Military Gold Commander Europe at War -> manual (I don't know if I've got the path exactly right but it's something like that).
After all that reinstall and wait for the updated installer coming out next week.
If you answered no to either question above let me know and we'll proceed from there.
