Adrianople 378AD Scenario

Post by kilroy1 »

In 378AD the emperor Valens led an army into Thrace to crush a rebellion of the Goths and their allies. In the resulting battle the Gothic cavalry struck the Roman left flank before their cavalry and second line of infantry had been fully deployed, resulting in the destruction of two-thirds of the Roman army and the death of Valens. This scenario begins right before the opposing lines make contact.

Merry Christmas!

Note: I've corrected the spelling of one of the Roman units and updated the download.

Another one!, your like a machine!
Tried it this morning as Valens and was crushed! ( a love a game that can actually beat you once in a while), although it might have helped if I noticed the Clibanari unit at the lower edge of the map... Next go around I will make sure I get him involved.

Thanks!

Nice. Can these scenarios be issued as challenges in multiplayer? Do they only show up if the other person also downloaded?
