Iberian vs Carthaginians

Post by CharlesRobinson »

I ran into one tough unit of Greek Mercenaries! Every unit I threw at it bounced.

Iberian vs Carthaginians

It is slow going but my strategy is working very well. I do not think that it will take much longer.

Victory! All that is left of the Carthaginians is a small band that is totally surrounded! Insert Evil Laugh Here!

Iberian vs Carthaginians

Post by CharlesRobinson »

Final results: The Iberians win over the Carthaginians 8/45 to 36/31. The win was credited to all of the Iberian units used in concert with each other. They all did their part. This was a great scenario - thanks for making it! 8)

Bosporans vs Pontic

Post by CharlesRobinson »

I just tried out your scenario for the Bosporans vs Pontic. It was a very fun battle - I played as the Pontic army. I won 6/31 to 33/32.

Macedonian vs Seleucid

Post by CharlesRobinson »

I tried your Macedonian vs Seleucid game. It to was nice. I played the Macedonians and won 6/33 to 34/33. Out of the three I liked the Iberian vs Carthaginian the most, with the Macedonian vs Seleucid being second. Although I liked the Bosporan vs Pontic - it was pretty much an open field battle and not a whole lot of strategy really went into the battle for my part - just sort of point and shoot. The hill did not make that much of a difference, but against a real human player this would of course be different. Part of why I liked the other two scenarios more is that I simply had to think more about my strategy that I was going to use (Plus I really like Iberians  ). All three were great! Thank you for posting them. 8)

Carthaginians vs Iberians

Post by CharlesRobinson »

I just played the Carthaginians fighting against the Iberians. I won as the Carthaginians this time, so the game seems well balanced. :D

Macedonians vs Seleucids

Post by CharlesRobinson »

I played this one as the Seleucids and again I won - so it seems well balanced. It may not be balanced in a multiplayer though. I won with only taking 3 break points total. A very overwelming victory.

When I get a chance I will switch sides on the last one and give you my final report on that one. Thanks - I really like them all! :D

Many thanks for your posts Charles and you comments.

Really glad you enjoyed them.

When I made them I had multiplayer in mind (as the starter scenarios seem popular in that format). I tried to make some scenarios that did not involve Romans as well.

The Carthaginian / Iberian is my favourite too, although I am also partial to Seleucid :)

One thing I would love to see is the ability to clone units placed. Typing all those names and editing all those stats gets very tedious - especially as you can't even copy and paste text!

Guys - please take note for patch 1.03 - the ability to copy and paste a unit placed in the scenario editor - PLEEEAASEEE

Man those Iberians are tough!, they slid right through my best HI whether i was defending or attaacking.. Only the right flank heavy cavalry alowed me to salvage a victory.

I absolutely agree a copy and paste feature for the editor would be great...
