NATCON10 - the New Zealand National FoG Competition

Post by Morange »

When?
NatCon10 will be held over Easter Weekend 2010. For the calendarly minded of you, that's the 2nd - 4th of April, 2010.

Registrations will open in November and will close in February. Cost will go up the longer you leave it!

Where?
We'll be hosting NatCon10 at the St Patricks School Hall in Upper Hutt. The school has recently completed a significant expansion of the hall and there's a lot of new space. Dinner will be held at the Totara Lodge.

Information about getting there and staying there is here..

15mm Field of Glory
Peer umpired: This competition will be peer umpired. It is patently clear to the convenor that as some of the most experienced players in the country will be in attendence, any attempts he might make at umpiring would be futile.

Army size: 800 AP

Armies can be drawn from any published companion book. Army lists are to be submitted to the convenor and draw-monkey for checking when you send your entry.

Games will be played on 6x4 tables.

Scoring will use the 25-0 method from the rulebook.

Best Army and Best Sports awards will be voted on at the conclusion of the competition.

If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the pre battle initiative dice have been rolled, their opponent will be awarded maximum points. None of this agreeing to a draw business.

Players are to supply their own terrain and base cloths and there is an expectation that, as this is the Nationals, it will be to a high standard.

There will be six matches over the three days. Please be on time to start your matches or the convenor will get snippy. The timetable will be:

The convenor will give a quick briefing at approximately 8:30 on the first day. The first round on each day will be 0900 - 1300 and the second round each day will be 1330 - 1730.

The first round will be with the closest historical opponent, followed by Swiss Chess.

You can contact the convenor and draw-monkey, Alex McEwen, at mczermof AT yahoo DOT com.
