Game keeps freezing?

My game keeps "freezing" upon the end of my first turn after war has been declared.
I use Vista Home edition. I have tried, without success, to run the game in: normal vista mode, windows XP emulator mode and even Window's 2000. The game always locks at the same place.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you tell us which version you are running and what patches or mods you have installed. Where did you buy it from, Slitherine, Matrix, somewhere lese?

Hi, thank you for the reply.

I bought the game from PLAY.COM as a CD ROM. It has the Slitherine Logos all over it and says it is the Gold edition. I ran the "Grand Strategy" patch which I believe said it would update to 1.12?

The game seems to run fine when I use the icon on the desktop to the non-patched game.

1. You need to have v1.12 (vanilla game) installed and working.

2. Then you install Grand Strategy (full version):
Download it from the link in the first message below:

3. When this is done you need to download the Grand Strategy patch and install it over the Grand Strategy full version.

Look at the message at the BOTTOM (not the top) to download the latest patch version.

The patch is still in beta, but seems to work fine. When we know for sure it's stable then we will send the patch files to Slitherine so they can make new version of the Grand Strategy full version.
