Ceasers German cavalry Body guard.

I was going to pick up a package of Wargames Factory German cavalry to turn use as Ceasers body guard. My questions are:
1) should I use the Vexlium standard instead of the horse head thing
2) For shield decals should I go with LBM German shield decals or use LBM Roman decals?

I will sitdown and wait for my answer.
