New Gameplay Video

Post by IainMcNeil »

A new gameplay video of Field of Glory has been released showing a few turns inside the game and how simple it is to pick up and play. The only thing it doesn't show is how deep and subtle the gameplay is, but you'll have to find that out for yourself!

Very nice to get an impression. A question: Can the player setup the behaviour of the AI? In that first few turns, the Romans seem very reluctant on their flanks - or dumb. :)

And what are the numbers that flash when an unit is hit?

The AI does have some settings the designer can set such as aggression. I'bve not played with it too much to be honest. Default AI is fine for me :)

The numers are men/elephants/cavalry killed in each combat. As in the tabletop cohesion is more but battlegroups can be worn down over time as every combat win or lose ends in some casualties.
