If it is by John Greer it is probably genuine. However, it was based on very outdated research, and is very inaccurate about a lot of things. The Montvert books are the best if you can get them. Some at least of the Osprey Chinese books are pretty good - certainly a lot better than the old WRG book.

At one point Duncan Head was going to do a completely revised AEAC for WRG but I think that project has gone by the board.

Hi Richard,

perhaps there will be some place in the Slitherine planning to edit an updated version of the WRG books , I think many of us will buy the books if they are on sale one day

in all the cases I pre order the books now

I think Phil Barker might have something to say against that

From posts on ANCMED or the DBMMlist Yahoo groups, it sounds like a new version by Duncan is a possibility in the future plans for the new company recently formed to publish out of print WRG publications and future new work. See http://wrg.me.uk/ for more info.

The version published in Texas was printed by Heritage Games which at that point was the U.S. manufacturer/distributor for Hinchcliffe and WRG in addition to their own ranges like Thermopolites and Napoleonettes.

thanks for this precisions

maybe this book don't have the last research but it's so funny to see that fig manufacturer base a lot of their product on the drawning
you have the feeling that the athor buy fig and then use it as model for his drawning...

and i agree with gilles about the wrg
i start to slowly buy all of them and i'm afraid that some will become unavailable before i buy all of them...
osprey are sometime more beautiful (mcbride!), but wrg are a great ressource for shield patern
