Will It Run?

I was looking at the requirements for Fields of Glory and it states that it should have 128MB of ram on the video card. I only have 64MB. Will it run? I do have 3.01Ghz processor and 1 gig of shared ram, but only 64MB of video ram.

That is the recommended spec not minimum spec. It should be fine but its very hard to gaurantee anything on PC's as even though the video memory is not an issue it could still have a conflict unrelated. Oh the joys of PC compatibility. You have as much chance as anyone of being able to play and so far things have been pretty stable.

Thanks for the quick answer. I keep waffling over whether to upgrade my video card or get another PC. Mine is five years old and works fine, except for some high-end games...Decicions, decisions

We tested FOG PC on systems as low as 1Ghz PIII with integrated video with the only issue is that it was sometimes slow. We do have a test PC with a 64Mb Video card and 3Ghz CPU and it runs fine. A system with a video card (even if only 32Mb) is always better than one with no video card. We set the 128Mb as a guide as from that point you will get the best video performance.

In general it is a good idea to make sure you have the latest video card drivers installed. We cannot promise it will work with all video cards but if the card supports Open GL it should be ok.

Thanks for the detailed answer. Here are the specs on my video (Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900 w/DirectX® 9 support. Up to 224MB shared video memory). Does this mean that if the program calls for it, it will provide more video memory up to 224MB ? And borrow this memory from the 1 gig of ram that's installed ?
