Battle Wagons
Are there (or will there be) any Battle Wagons in any of the lists?

I have a vague feeling I've read something about a Russian retreat that involved fighting from wagons. Whether this was them stopping and fighting from behind them ot using them as improvised Hussite like wagons I can't recall. Will try and remember to look it up.
Otherwise I suspect the answer is no.

Well we had better find out quick. It would be a bit silly to have them taking up space in the rules if they don't exist.nikgaukroger wrote:I have a vague feeling I've read something about a Russian retreat that involved fighting from wagons. And if they are very very rare, we could still take them out and deal with them as FF.
The only reason they are in FOGAM is to cover the Hussites and their emulators. Without those, we could have dealt with most of the "hanger-on" BWgs in other ways.

OK, by the in depth research technique of looking at the DBR lists for clues I reckon we can ditch Battlewagons
If we're really honest we could probably have ditched them for Hussites as well in FoG:AM

What about the Bohemians themselves, and the German states circa 1500. Were they still using "Battle Wagons", and were they in any sense mobile on the battlefield? I note that there aren't any in the DBR lists for hungarians or Minor German states.nikgaukroger wrote:OK, by the in depth research technique of looking at the DBR lists for clues I reckon we can ditch Battlewagons![]()

Having a look through the first few DBR army lists, the only WWG I can find are in the Ottoman list. These seem to be a straight carry forward from the DBM Ottoman list (which I drafted), and I was dubious about them then!
I think we should take them out and deal with any that we find historically as FF.

Can't recall offhand any mentioning of them in the early 16th cen. I'm kinda reluctant to state there wasn't any without some prior research though; especially if the lists start 1496. I'm a bit more certain that there was some usage of BattleWagons by the Hungarians during Vladislas times, and since he was also King of Bohemia ...rbodleyscott wrote:What about the Bohemians themselves, and the German states circa 1500.
