Why were the Burmese elephants not given Bow? Additionally the Burman spear as light spear armed only, are very weak to be considered the best drilled infantry. Should they be light spear, swordsmen? Currently they are more dead men walking than quality infantry.

About the bow, probably the thought is that there are not enough elephants shooting to actually give them the bow classification so the crew is most likely assumed to be shooting into whatever melee they end up in. Just like why aren'e Selucid elephants classed as armoured (Selucid players dream) since they do wear armour that could cover most of their bodies.
