Casualty Numbers: Extreme Results?

Is it just me or have the combat casualty numbers been a bit extreme more often than not? One side will do 2 casualties and take 186 casualties. Next turn it reverses.

I prefer % as clearer, see the preferences menu. If a LF unit of 500 takes 10% losses it is 50 but to a HF unit it is 150.
