Will Grand Strategy require the patch to the MH gold version

There was a patch put out a while ago for the MH gold version. Will Grand Strategy require that patch to have been installed?

Dang..no reply...I ask because I've been playing on my desktop and sometimes on laptop...but for whatever reason, the game doesn't start up once i install the mini-patch. Am hoping I don't need it for Grand Strategy.

All on the development team purchased a version of CEaW prior to MH Gold v1.12. Since we patched our older versions to v1.12 the mini-patch doesn't work with our versions. See viewtopic.php?p=106469#106469

So, Grand Strategy is only guarantee to work as a mod to v1.12. It doesn't mean it won't work with v1.12.1 but none of the development team or beta testers have been able to test it out with v1.12.1 (i.e., the mini-patch).
