We are currently in the planning stage of a get together Friday night with spouses and/or significant others. If are planning on attending and would like to participate in Friday night's festivities, drop me a line here or to shadypage@charter.net and we will add you to the list and get venue info out when it is finalized.

Besides myself (wife and 2 year-old included), John Martin and Wende, Steve Payne and Sandy, Gino Agnelly and Marlene and Ricky and his current non-Waffle House appendage we have possibles from another SMAC-master Rich Olier (not sure if his wife will attend). Could make for quite an interesting evening.

For those who missed the pre-tournament SMACARAMA/Dinner, a great time was had by all.

Steve Payne collected the bounty on Ricky Jones that John Martin set last year of a painted battlegroup for the first person to break Ricky Jones' army in GCC tournament play. A very nicely painted battlegroup of mounted crossbowmen was the bounty.

We had 8 (plus 5 wives, Ricky's date and 2 kids) of the 12 pledged participants. Evryone seemed to enjoy themselves and Sandy (Steve's wife) passed around a few more Hawaiian shirts to help the wargaming wardrobes.

Thanks to all who attended.

Three cheers for Chris for organizing such a wonderful event, and get together. Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, and as I said, the Friday proved the 3 things I had been told abut the South.

1) The food tastes better
2) The people are friendlier
3) The girls are prettier...on a par with the Mid-west ladies !

And a big thank you for all the players for making me feel so welcome too. One question though, was Gino's dice necklace blessed by a voodoo queen, or an old queen with vd ?

Results suggest the latter......:)

Those of us who know Gino, would support that hypothesis
