BHGS rankings updated to 20/07/09.

Post by Robert241167 »

Hi everyone

Just letting you all know the BHGS rankings have been updated to 20/07/09.

Can I just ask whether they include Birmingham Expo 09 or Schiltron 09 as I have only had 1 tournament added but have played in 2 in that time.

Thanks

Rob

Depends if you played any during the same time period last year. Say you played as games expo last year, last years would disappear and be replaced. If you didn't play this year last years would just disappear. Although isn't going to Scotland a bit like going to Rome. Its in a foreign country so doesn't count.

Cheers Phil but I haven't been playing a year yet.

I hope Scotland counts towards it.

You'll need to harass Hammy. Perhaps he hasn't got the result from Scotland yet.

It does count even though it is abroad.

Schiltron will count but as the rankings are to the end of June and Schiltron was in July then this year's Schiltron is not there yet.

I try to work on a monthly update, for various reasons (one being not many comps) I didn't do an update at the end of May.

There will be another update before Britcon.

Any idea when the US rankings are updated?

Jim posted them to the NAFoG yahoo group. My assumption was he sent them to you as well...

Am I mistaken?

I sent updated UK rankings including Britcon but not the September comps to Matt for the BHGS site a few weeks ago. I normally wait till they hit the BHGS site before posting them to Karsten.

The September comps should be added in soon.

Getting the US ranking onto the FoG site means they need to go to Karsten who manages the hall of fame stuff.

While on the subject of US rankings I have had an e-mail from Jim indicating that he would like to hand them over to someone else. I am open to suggestions for a potential replacement.

Chris Anders has volunteered in the past. He may do so again and would get my vote if I had one...

I have the rankings based on the method I have been working on including the rotating rankings that Hammy needs for the World Rankings. If that is the direction, the community wishes to go in, I am pretty sure I can get them posted with all of the guidelines on the NASAMW website.

Go for it. Helping Team USA to a second pace finish at the ITC means you get all sorts of new responsibilities dumped on you.

Let me have a copy of what you have got and I will see if I can use it to get a set of World Rankings.
