Solemnace's Byzantine (Italy) 1038CE-1039CE defeats Alexstandish's Lombard 1038CE-1049CE 41-8

The Lombards were hampered by the narrowness of the battlefield with a large body of water taking up much of the left side of the battlefield from the Byzantine giving advantage to the better quality overall of the Byzantines who brought enough men to cover the entire battlefield in a long line even with the expensive Varangians and Byzantine Klibanophoroi and Hired Knights giving their list a distinct quality edge. The fighting quickly went the way of the Byzantines with many of their best cavalry quickly breaking through and overrunning the Lombard lancers and supporting infantry. Before the end the Lombards were able to break two units. One of Skoutatoi and archers who were broken up by a Lancer charge and a units of Knights who performed very poorly and were outflanked after their compartiots smash through the Lombard line and the Lombards were able to maneuver to their advantage in the situation.

Solemnace's French 1480CE-1483CE defeats Rockmanbob123's Neapolitan 1443CE-1500CE 49-10

The Neapolitans took up a very reserved defensive position and reacted little as the French and Swiss Pikes supported by Longbows and Men At arms advanced and organised for the attack against. Perhaps a little too stationary as despite the Neapolitans bringing a large number of light horse little effort was made to disrupt the French planning for a general attack. When it came the French swiflty crashed through the centre of the Neapolitan army and while some dismounted Mercenary men at arms for the Neapolitans fought hard they were hopelessly outclassed. The Neapolitans had some success against the French right where they were able to rout two men at arms and a light javelin unit but elsewhere their army crumbled and melted away.

DIVM's Byzantines defeat Rogerbosso's Italo-Normans: 50-17

Great battle, that was actually closer than what the score reflects. The mirror battle will be more equal. Good game to my opponent!
