A tale of two hills - The Hebrew right was drawn of its hill into an uphill struggle against the Roman left as the better veteran Hastati started making progress against the Hebrew left.

A very tough game Romans massed scutari and light troops against hills on Pyrrhic right and early success was set back by dead Generals and poor light troop evades. Fortunately for the Romans their right had enough veteran Hastati and Triarii to hold the Pyrrhic phalanxes until a combination of flanking and poor RNG confounded them. Very much in the balance until the phalanxes broke.

Another tough slog - the Romans pivoted on a hill and large area of rough ground on their right to try to avoid Spanish flanking and fortunately had their Veteran troops opposite the few Spanish quality troops. The Roman advance was nearly upset by the failure of several velites to evade more than one square but eventually the better quality of foot aided by cavalry and an elephant on the Roman left ground the Spanish down.
