Morat Frankish 751-887 plus Saxon (Continental) defeats Nosferatu Frankish 600-750 AD: 60-55

All Frankish scrap saw the newer variants just (and only just) overcome their foes. Had a couple of rallies fallen the other way it would have bene very different.

Thanks to Nosferatu for a great game: on another day the tables would have been turned.

Nosferatu (Frankish) defeats Triarii (German+Polish) at 61:44

Both armies tried to surprise the enemy by grouping on the same edge of the battlefield, which resulted in a brutal slugging match on just 1/6th of the entire map. Thanks to a small lake, the German/Poles were quick to setup what seemed like an unbreakable bunker and the battle mostly degenerated to a crawl along those lines and a few squares around them.

Luckily for the Franks, Triarii was out of luck on this one. Half his cavalry ran off the map in pursuit of a few routed units, never to return and all the important dice rolls went my way. If for a few different dice rolls, the result would have been reversed.

Chris Townsend's Welsh 600-1049 AD w/ Vikings 790 defeat Rob123 Scots 851-1051AD with Viking 900 45 to 11.

These two armies are very similar, with the Scots having access to more, better quality units - which necessarily means that the Welsh will have more units. Given the quality difference, the Welsh declined to attack the Scot's hills, instead deploying their shield wall on a low hill to their left (the far left flank was water), their Brythonic infantry in some woods on their right, and their best troops (huscarls and arm. Noble Cavalry) in the gap between those positions. The Scots sent their light cavalry to probe the woods, but were driven back javelin men. When their light infantry caught up to the recognizance, it was revealed that not only were the woods full of the Brythonic infantry, but that these troops were supported by the berserkers and some noble cavalry that had made a long circle move through the woods to the flank. While the shield wall held its position on the hill (an exchange of skirmisher fire somehow favoured the Welsh), the Scottish centre found itself outnumbered two to one as well as outflanked, deciding the battle.

Stones1985 (Arab/Sassanid) beat Morat (Frankish/Saxon) by a score of 62 to 46.

A real tussle with both armies split all over the battlefield and several mini battles occurring. The Arab/Sassanid army just won the majority of these with the elephants prominent in their success.
