Competition will take place from 1 September to 18 October, over 7 weeks. Here comes the time of LAD : the League of Anachronicals Derby !
They will face prestigious armies, from all ages, to determine who will establish
his supreme hegemony in time and history.
You can register from now on by posting below.
Entries will be closed sometime before First of September aiming to fill all the divisions.
Players are committing to completing all games within the 7 week time period, please do not enter if you cannot do that.
Divisions
Participants will be divided into divisions of 6 or 8 players, according to the number of registered players.
Each will play a mirror match against each opponent in their division, for a total of 5 or 7 mirrors games.
If there are several divisions, the participants will be divided according to their best ELO Ranking (Ancients & Medieval).
Battles & Challenges
Armies are predetermined according to the list in the next post.
Battles will take place in mirror, 1600 points, pot luck, Large/Wide map, Open Battle.
Mods
We will use the Reduced LOS Time Warp custom battles (V5). Therefore, the competition will take place exclusively on FoG Medieval. Time Warp to allow us to cross between medieval and ancient armies.
Low LOS is a small mod that reduces the visibility of units to 9 tiles, rather than 20. This allows us to keep some surprises during the deployment, as well as during the game, without however having a major effect.
Both players must have the mod to accept a challenge. It will not affect games started without the mod (before or after).
For those who used it for HOML or the Chaos Tourney, we are now at V5, which fixes the few remaining bugs.
You will need to download the new version.
Download the mod in game via 'Download community scenarios' (top left of the initial game menu). Scoring
The winner post the score in the top left of the screen.
The other player is welcome to post results if there opponent doesn't do so.
Winner : takes their points (% of losses of the ennemy army) + 60.
Loser : takes their points.
Draw : both players take theirs points.
Example :
[Player 1] defeated [Player 2] 60/47 => [Player 1] takes 73 points, [Player 2] takes 47 points
---
[Player 3] defeated [Player 4] 40/15 => [Player 3] takes 85 points, [Player 4] takes 15 points.
---
Draw : if no army has been routed after turn 24 or if both have inflicted 60%+ casualties.
If a player resigns, it's sad, and count as a victory for the other.
If a player defaults then it is scored 90:0.
Rerolls
Either of the two players can require a map reroll during deployment or on the first turn, so that is a maximum of two rerolls per match if both players separately request one. You can require your one map reroll even if your opponent is happy with the map that has come up.
Challenges
All matches are Ranked (Slitherine ranking system). Password protected : send the pw in private message and post it with the challenge in the thread.
Select ‘Ranked Challenge’ and ‘Allow Restarts’ when you set the match up.
Participants will play their games at their own pace, however it is important to respect the deadline. Thus, one should consider launching at least one battle per week. Life can call and people can talk (I hope) to each others. If it's not the good time, say it to your opponent. No one will take you to the stake.
All challenges must be responded to within one week, either accept it or agree to accept it at a later date. Once a challenge has been accepted then the games should be played.
If any problem, contact me.
If any suggestions on the rules, say it.
EDIT : maths called me and told me that a round-robin tournament with 7 players without rest was not possible.
