What's with the scheldt naval invasion?

Now I think naval invasions are the COOLEST. They are really cool for some reason. So, naturally, I was excited to try this mission out, only to find out that even though I pressed "launch naval invasion" and clicked on an invadable space, the troops never invaded? Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I assume this is the Scheldt mission? Sounds like a bug

Oh I forgot something, I reached the naval invasion stage on a save. Are saves still a little buggy by chance?
(Edit: I tried the mission again on a single run, the invasion worked. I think there still might be minor problems with the saves)

Thanks for the extra info, likely a trigger isn't being stored correctly in save
