Suggestion for a DLC

Post by canuckgamer »

How about a DLC with some new multiplayer scenarios? We have completed all the ones that come with the base game.

If you have PzC2 through Steam I have converted over 25 scenarios to co-op (2 Humans vs AI) and uploaded them to the Steam Workshop. If there was sufficient interest I could mirror them to a different host for non-Steam users.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately neither one of us has the Steam version. Hopefully there will be some 1 V 1 scenarios released either by Slitherine or gamers. Nothing beats playing against a friend using PBEM.

We both have Order of Battle WW2 which has way more multiplayer scenarios but we enjoy playing PZ Corps 2 more.

That's a good idea: mine "Order of Battle" for candidate conversion scenarios. Almost all of my conversions, so far, have been from single-player to 2x Human vs. AI (PvE, co-op) and no PvP (Human vs. Human). A friend and I enjoy live co-op games where we can coordinate our moves via Discord (voice); we're not really into PBEM unless each turn is very long, like some 4X games we play.

Anyway, I will search for some hosting options and create a new thread (specifically for 2-player co-op scenarios) on these forums.

One of the reasons we play 1 V 1 scenarios using PBEM is that sometimes it is difficult to find a time that works for both of us. With pbem you can make your move when it is convenient for you plus you don't have to complete the move in one sitting. This helps when you are playing a large 1 V 1 scenario like Diadem, one of our favourites.

We are veteran wargamers going back to when it was face to face boardgames. When we (there are about 8 of us) started playing PC wargames we played some very complex games such as those from Wargame Design Studios. For example a move in their Gettysburg game might take over 90 minutes to complete so the last thing you want to do is sit there waiting with nothing to do. PC games offer a replay so it isn't necessary to play online.

We enjoyed playing Pz Corps 2 because it was a nice break from the more complex games we played and it was fun. As mentioned we no longer play it because there are no new 1 V 1 multiplayer scenarios.
