I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I have just finished AO 1942 and started AO 1943. I didn't get the option to change the campaign Advanced Options and some of my campaign parameters are not showing up. For example, I would like to turn off the Lethal Antiaircraft option. I thought it sounded cool a couple of years ago when I started this AO campaign. I also had the one enabled that let me have four heroes per unit instead of three, but the new Panther unit I just got can only have three heroes. I've been playing this same core for a couple of years and have groomed them up since Spain. I really don't want to have to restart the campaign just to change these options (and I am 99% sure I remember being able to change it at least at the beginning of new years, if not mid-year). Am I imagining things? Is it possible to change the Advanced Options now? Or do I need to restart the campaign?

Thank you!

If you want to change your Traits you must restart AO43 campaign.
If one advances from one DLC to next the Traits are maintained.
To change traits, at the end of the subcampaign exit to main menu.
Then start next subcampaign from main menu.
There comes a time on every project when it is time to shoot the engineer and ship the damn thing.

In the final British scenario of the PC2 DLC Allied Operations - Italy: Vol.1, enemy territory excluded from the scenario blocks supply.

This is unrealistic, the territory is under Axis control, and should supply the enemy, just like the border of the map.

This choice makes the scenario easy in an artificial way, it renders a lot of enemy units almost irrelevant.

In the 'All American' DLC, in the first turn, all-suppressed, zero fuel, surrounded units can 'Houdini' themselves out of the surround at turn one (given the power four traits). Without any outside help. Ground units can upgrade in the deployment phase, gaining transport+fuel.

Allowing upgrades in such a setting is not consistent.

Also, why the three auxiliary mobile airfields? Paratroopers, the heroes of the DLC, cannot use them (or I may have overlooked something). You also have no air force, at least not yet. There are several dirt airfields already around the map.

In the new all american DLC I have captured all 5 of the naval bombardment hexes but the tiger tank does not die. At 20 strength It is impervious to air attacks and any ground forces that end up beside it will just get overrun in one shot. Was this intentional or is there some kind of bug with the game tracking taking the naval bombardment hexes??
As it is I am on my 3rd try and same result, a loss since I can't take out the unkillable tiger....

I'm still halfway, but the road to 'To Gela' (the coast) passes a whole stretch of Bocage (close terrain). The Tigers seem to follow the road. So if you can trap them in close terrain you can attack them with your US Airborne, and encircled they will get weaker and weaker. Careful, the edge of the map stops encirclements, keep the Tigers from the edge. Losses will be painful, and even more should the Tigers go in the attack (which they might not always do). But you have lots of prestige and a fast air transport route for infantry replacements. To prevent overruns (which would multiply the damage), protect your units with AT. I found the 2-slot M3 75 GMC AT/Art units very versatile. 20 Hard attack is just enough to score a few kills/suppresses against 25 Ground Defense. And as said, it stops the overrun.

The 90mm M1A1 (or the lighter 3 inch M3) is much more powerful as an AT, but very fragile, which makes it delicate to use (so experience buildup is very slow).

Deadly Grasp (double enemy encirclement penalties) is a very useful Power Four component. But sometimes the scenario just forgets the trait. I have no idea where the bug lies. I should be just straightforward program logic. Then, you have to muddle through the rest of the scenario without it...

This time it is in the new PC2: Elite - All American DLC, second scenario (To The Rescue).

This is something new for me, my unit insists in taking the 3-movement path when there is an easy road to the target.

Infantry is in the central flag location. I want to attack the badly placed enemy Flame Tank.

It prefers the railroad and then into the hill to the right. This way, its movement points are used up, so my second turn (Meticulous Planning trait) cannot move anymore.

Is there a way to force a path?
