Latins ? Yeah, frenchies, you mean ? With some mercenary turcomans...no problem.
We will deploy in the famous Amazings Anglo-Angles to counter any attemps to flank our proud bowmen.
The Irish, lightly equipped, run fast and will go hunting for cavalry.
Many will fall, but they will allow the English nobility to collect the crumbs.

It will appear that the turcomans were not well paid and did not show much zeal to attack the right flank of our army, its weak point. The time saved will make it possible to break through the center of the Latin army.

Good battle Maeglyr, learned a lot. Your kerns and irish foot were a lot more effective in flanking my pinned cav than I would have thought as well. Overall I misjudged which units I would face, and how to counteract the deployment pattern you chose.

The violent liquidation of my intrepid left wing leaves me behind throughout the battle.
Fortunately, my main infantry corps was able to withstand the shock of this damned French "noblesse".

Patiently, we surrounded and eliminated the knights, paying a flood of blood for each spur.

In the end, the French had to withdraw, for lack of troops still operational.
We were holding the battlefield, but at what price?

Vuk Teble: Latin Greece 1025-1319 with Seljuk allies

Rockmanbob123: French 1115-1319

62-40

The second sons of France and self-made emperors, kings and princes of the remains of the Byzantium, overtired of their older, favored brothers who stayed home and inherited titles like "Count" returned to France to show them what worth an inheritance and favored child status is.

As this was a family grudge match, only the flower of chivalry was allowed to participate with a few villeins fighting each other on one of the flanks and some Seljuk mercenaries who came along looking forward to looting their employers' motherland.

Battle opened with an attack by France's Sergeants, Mounted Crossbow, and one unit of Knights on the small hill trying to turn that flank. They were mostly shot to pieces. Meanwhile the Seljuk allies advanced on the other flank and enjoyed a fun game of tag with the knights there. The center was relatively static until Rockmanbob123 saw an exposed flank on one of the Latin knights and knocked a hole through it.

After the defeat of the Sergeants and Mounted Crossbows he brought out his crossbow and Low Country spears against the hill which managed to hold. Meanwhile the Latin knights were charging down their brothers and the Seljuqs were sniping off the weakened ones.

Solemnace Tuareg 950CE-1500CE defeats cromlechi German Imperial 1200-1319 AD 47-18

Wasn't entirely sure I'd get to make a post here.

The Tuareg foot on the right held a firm line using rough ground and woods to try and delay any attack on them by the many dismounted knights the Germans had brought. The many knights slow advance would have been a sound strategy but the Germans had brought too many knights and their cost meant they couldn't protect the entire extended line they were forming the Mass of Tuareg Camel Lancers were able to sweep around their right flank and through gaps to devestate both their back line and the edge of their right flank destorying Spearmen left with exposed flanks, Archers and crossbowmen insuffciently protected and even mounted knights whose horses paniced at the smell of Camels and had no support to protect their flanks from devestating charges. WIth the Camels ripping apart the German army from behind the entire army collapsed and had no choice but to flee.

A quick and brutal breakthrough from our right flank disorganized enough enemy elements to force their commander, himself in bad shape, to sound the retreat. Just in time, because the Varangians were starting to warm up and it was not going to do any good for our frail infantry.

Stones1985 (Byzantine with Crusader allies) beat Solemnace (Tuareg) by a score of 53 to 25.

The Tuareg Camel riders seemed to be at an early disadvantage but put up a decent show. However the Byzantine spears and missiles eventually ground them down. Thanks for the game.

mcfcivo Aragonese 1275 – 1319

16-47

From a defensive formation utilising some terrain and the corner of the map, my dismounted knights took out a large number of the medium foot early on as they approached with crossbowmen. We had to soak up an initial volley of arrows as we advanced to meet the enemy before engaging. The battle was swift and bloody. My right flank held against repeated cavalry assaults allowing my left to push onwards. With his right flank destroyed my opponent was unable to recover. Some flattering rallies at the end made the score appear more decisive than the reality. Good game.

Solemnace Tuareg 950CE-1500CE defeats mcfcivo Aragonese 1275 – 1319 68-50

The Tuareg foot and Camel Lancers met a mixed force of Aragonese on a series of small hills. The Aragonese formed a solid defensive line in the centre to face the Tuareg foot while the Camel Lancers swept around the flanks to face the Aragonese flanks. The initial fighting was hard with a number of Tuareg losses but eventually they had forced the Aragonese to brink. Just as victory seemed all but certain luck turned against the Tuareg as rallying Aragonese revitalised the Spirit of their army at what otherwise seemed to be it's lowest moment. Overextended and tired Tuaregs were taken out by the rallying Aragonese and the freshly rallied Aragonese troops could nnot be quickly reached. The resurgense of Aragonese fortunes was short lived though as the Tuareg regrouped to sweep away both some of the ralliers and more Aragonese troops who had stood firm the entire time. With their army shattered the Aragonese withdrew knowing they had avoided an absolute disaster and made the Tuareg pay for their victory.

Solemnace Tuareg 950CE-1500CE defeats Hari72 Mongol Europe 1223-1241 40-12

A large force of Mongol Horse Archers rode into the desert to confront the Tuareg Camels. The mongols had trouble convincing their mounts to face the Tuareg Camel Lancers but evading combat was perhaps what they preferred anyway. The Turaegs had to struggle to get into lance range of the Mongols while dealing with the swarms of arrows they unleashed on the Tuareg approach. Eventually more and more Mongol cavalry was caught and while they cut down no small number of Tuareg in the process the battle was only going one way. It ended in slightly unexpected fashion when a disrupted Tuareg Camel Lancer formation charged a unit of Mongol cavalry only for them to flee and the Tuareg to redirect themselves onto a best Equipped Cavalry formation only for them to flee as well and the bemused Tuareg to instead redirect onto a surrounded and fragmented unit of Mongol Cavalry already heavily engaged by several Camel formations only for them to break on their approach. At this moment the Mongols no longer having the Stomach for the fight elected to retreat and await a better opportunity to face the Camels again.
