Crashing in multiplayer

Post by Varjokenraali »

Hi,

HQ ww2 crashes in a certain point in PBEM game, when watching a recap of an opponent turn. There's a small break in sounds just before it crashes. Tried multiple times if it would go through but every time crashes at the exact same point during a video scene of a tank driving. Therefore received also a server warning from Slitherine per loading the turn multiple times.

When crashing, it opens an Unreal Engine crash window with topic "UE4-UEBA" and a crash log.
Unhandled Exception: 0xe06d7363

I have played multiple PBEM games succesfully, this is the first time this kind of crash occurs.

Just reading this now, a bit late. For me it worked to skip skip skip through the opponents turn just using the left mouse button. Maybe this is helpful to know for future situations.

Same problem here, in the replay when my opponent fires the second mortar shot on my machine gun... Just in the middle of the quarter finals of the tournaments :-(

I will try, but my problem it's not when camera change view, it just after a shot of enemy mortar.

Is there an option to turn off replay?

I haven't found a button so far to turn the enemy replay off. I had crashes in multiple situations. One time it was just after about a minute in my turn, even while doing nothing. Retried and the same happened so in that case I just skipped/ended my turn straight after it loaded, that solved in for the rest of the turns. I had crashes when firing on a specific type of scout armoured vehicle and it crashed when it fled. Happened four times after retrying so The fifth load I didn't shoot the easy target (but lost the game in the end due to this). The scout issue happened multiple times but that seems fixed. But just loading the game and direct clicking the left mouse button without thinking until your turn starts is the best solution (for me at least). And if it happens in your turn sometimes you can not do a specific action that triggers the crash or just take a turn loss and skip the turn. Happened to me in this tournament but luckily in the first turns so I was mostly unexposed. Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for advices, but I'm in a different situation.
It's not my turn, so I can't skip my turn because it crash in replay before I can make anything.
I tried to click the left mouse like a crazy during the replay, but it go faster but when enemy mortar make second shot it crash anyway.

Slitherine could you skip my turn so I could play the next turn?

That's so annoying. Just to be clear I click in the enemy's turn as well to speed that turn and skip the animations. In almost all cases it worked in the end. You can drop a support mail to Slitherine in the forum somewhere but for me that never worked. You will get a support ticket etc etc and maybe it works for you with a bit of luck. Would be good if you made it to the semi-finals. In most crash cases I gave up after five or six tries but all the latest crash situations I managed to solve by clicking without thinking too much. It skips the animation or moment of the crash, in my cases. Not sure if that's computer or software related as well. I really hope it works out positive in some way, good luck.
