Field of Glory - multiplayer server being added

Hi guys

we've been working hard over the last few months to finish the game off and bring it to the high standard expected by Field of Glory players. We have added an E-mail multiplayer system and this is going well for most people, but a few players have issues. We feel we can do more and would like to add some new features not in the original plan. We want to spend a bit more time adding an entirely new multiplayer system that simplifies the process of playing games multiplayer, add a new challenge system. There will be no need for e-mail, everything will be handled automatically by the game giving a completely seamless game experience.

We know you are all waiting eagerly to get your game and this delay would be very frustrating. What we would like to do is offer all those who have pre-ordered the chance to immediately join the beta test. You’ll get the game which is all but complete, while we add the new multiplayer system. All pre-orders will be contacted directly offering them the chance to join.

Once more we apologise for the delay but we really want to make sure Field of Glory Digital is the best game it can be. We could release the game as it is but we just want to make it the best game of its type and we feel we need to spend a bit more time on it to achieve that. We expect to be ready to release at the end of October.

I don't understand beacause i have take pre-order and in your site , there is no information about this. ( I go to Beta test but its says this : Beta test sign up ended Field Of Glory -Digital Version , You have already registered for this beta test). But i learn your new post in fourm of slitherine you say : the person who buy pre order can participate to beta test :p and i receive a message for your team also .

If you have pre-ordered and already signed up for the Beta test then all you need to do is send us your username. You will jump to the front of the queue of people waiting to be beta testers!

Hi,

i have pre-ordered Fields of Glory digital on (17.09.09). After an E-Mail from Slitherine, that the game will be postboned and that is the possibility to join the beta-test, i sent two Email to Slitherine (the firtst on 1.10.09), that i would like to join the beta-testing, but i received no answer so far.

Whats the problem? Does your word still stand, the customers who pre-ordered could join the beta-testing?

Yes we have let the first batch in already, those who applied first. It takes a while to process each batch so we have to do it in chunks. The next batch will be allowed in later this week or next week. Thansk for you patience.

Sorry for being impatient. I really appreciated your E-MAil from 01.10.09. But reading the following "What we would like to do is offer all those who have pre-ordered the chance to immediately join the beta test., didnt let me thin think of one or even two weeks before i can join. Not getting two emails answered, did not support my patient. I mean your guys would expect us customers two pay immediately and not to wait one or two weeks. Please dont missunderstand me, the offering to join the beta for FREE is GREAT, but please dont promise things you cant keep. One or two weeks is NOT IMMEDIATLY.
