Headquarters: World War II | Spring Classic Knockout Challenge Tournament

Post by saraviga »

Join the Knockout Challenge with a mixture of Battalion battles and classic capture flags for prestige points maps.

Each round the player with the least points per round will be knocked out. Until only 1 remains.

Missions 1 & 2 are Battalion Battles, where you begin with a given amount of prestige to purchase your army. You receive NO MORE prestige for that mission, so buy wisely. NOTE - Do not deploy more than 30 units in any round, as if your deployment zone is full, any purchased units will be lost.

Missions 3 to 5 are classic battles where capturing points will trigger prestige points to purchase more units. There are various ways of winning each round, including Control the Flag, Conqueror, Wipe them out.

1) The Retreat to Caan
Starting Prestige: 5000
Max Turns: 25
Victory Conditions: Conqueror, Wipe them out, Time
HQ Skills: Morale only

2) The Battle for Hill 112
Starting Prestige: 12,000
Max Turns: 25
Victory Conditions: Conqueror, Wipe them out, Time
HQ Skills: Morale, Air Recon

3) Operation Aubery
Capture flags for Prestige.

4) The Falaise Pocket: The Trap
Capture flags for Prestige.

5) The Falaise Pocket: The Breakout
Capture flags for Prestige.

I had a UE5 crash with - "You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash." My opponent mickaussie2003 has had at least one UE5 crash of some kind.

Mine hung first, after sending my move and leaving for the My Games screen, no error, just no response. It eventually closed. When I restarted the game, my turn was sent and the other game started OK. No warning email.

But the next crash happened early during the replay of the German turn. I sent the cryptic message and the game restarted. My turn played out OK this time. It offered no advantage. I did get the email.

I had my first crash in turn 3 playing as the allied. I just had to wait a bit, or try to do anything, or type and the game would crash. The other turn is just fine so far. I managed to finish my turn the third or fourth try by not doing anything else than hitting the End Turn button. Not the best strategy but at least I am still alive.
