Re: In 2026 what are you REALLY playing
Im playing all possible games and mods that are based on years 1930-1945 in yearly order and mostly only axis side if its available. Im playing both new and old as late 80s. Its the one last great playthrough of almost everything. I use steam notes and categoeies to keep track of every game what date and scenario/campaign Im playing.
Im currently at around year 1935 playing making history the second world war - Im running italian, german and japanese campaigns. Apart from that I have maybe hundreds of other games in the list. Starting in 1936 July I have 13 other games running some with multiple campaigns - most of the games for that year are of course spanish civil war related.
Ive been playing this "mega campaign" for real life 5-6 months straight now. I have never been able to keep focus like this for wargaming so its really working for me. Playing everyhing year by year (more like quarter by quarter at around 1936) was the key for me. I can slowly enjoy new equipment and historical events and other stuff for each year.

Field of Glory Medieval
Re: In 2026 what are you REALLY playing
I am currently playing a Strategic Mind Blitzkrieg Campaign and an Order of Battle WW2 Rising Sun Campaign. The Rising Sun Campaign has opened a whole new front of the war that I knew little to nothing about, and has led me to several books on the subject: "Captivating History - The Second Sino-Japanese War and The Battle for China: Essays on the Military History of the Sino-Japanese Wars, both easy reads.

Combat Mission series.
Scourge of War Civil War and Waterloo series.
Although I enjoy hex strategy war-games with eagle eye view , I seem to drift back to tactical games that give me a eye ball level, first-person view of realistic terrains.
