Solemnace's Hunnic(Western) 445CE-559CE defeated Stew101's Burgundian 1450CE-1464CE 60-35
The Burgundians brought a mass of foot ranged troops including many raw units supported by Raw Pikes and a small cavalry force of Lancers and Men At Arms with Artillery support all of them trying there best to hide in forests, marshes or rough terrain. The Hunnic horse archers swept forward to engage them unleashing volleys of arrows that broke many of the Burgundian units in the initial wave of fire and scattered the artillery. This freed the Burgundian cavalry which tried to counter attack but two of the Lancers were neutralised and the third did some damage before riding off to the edge of the map where it's commander ended up confused about what to do for some. THe Men at arms were able to catch another unit of horse archers but the move left them far from the decisive moment of the battle. Burgundian units had been using their missles to break a number of Hunnic units but there ranks were getting thin from losses from ranged and melee attacks. With no cavalry to support them and the pikes more concerned with their own safety than that of the rest of the army the units on the left flank were left exposed on open ground to the Hunnic cavalry and most of them broke. A Unit of raw Longbowmen bravely held their ground for a moment to hold off total defeat but then shattered as well as the Burgundians fled the field.

Karvon's Seljuq Turkish (East) 1037-1194 AD defeated Indibil's Armenian (Cilicia) 1100-1154 AD 61 - 29.
A medium woods and rough patch anchored our left sector, and a medium woods anchored our right. Large gentle hills with scattered rough lay in the center and right towards the Armenian side of the field.
We deployed a division of mixed horse archers on our far left as a diversionary force. Two such divisions we placed on our right, along with a small division of Dailami foot supported by elephants, and screened by light foot along the edges of the woods on our right. Light horse from each division formed a loose screen across the front to locate the enemy early, while our own troops were deployed rather deep to avoid such detection. Our plan was to skirmish wide on our left with a single mounted command while pushing hard on our right with the rest of our army.
The Armenians deployed an infantry division made up of massed bow, some defensive spear, and medium foot in the center. Mounted divisions with knights, supported by Bedouins, formed up on each flank. A division of light archers screened the mounted on their right.
The Armenians responded to our early push on the left by shifting their mounted and light foot to contain and drive us back. We gave ground slowly, drawing them further and further from the rest of the action into the our far left corner. Eventually, we lost most of the division, but kept the opposing troops out of the main fight.
On our right, the Armenians mounted aggressively drove back our scouts onto our supporting horse archers and awaiting foot and elephants. These shot up, and then swarmed and destroyed them.
We regrouped and fell upon the Armenian foot command, flanking and destroying most of the spear and mediums, and overrunning their massed bow with repeated charges from all sides with our horse.

If you're referring to the physical appearance, I dislike the original Medieval high gloss look, so downloaded and installed the mod that changes the map images to more similar to Ancients.GeneralKostas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2026 4:32 pm

Re: Chaos Tourney IX Results
Regular
Karvon's Burgundians 1430 AD defeated Bagatrix1805 Libyans 549 BC 42 - 11.
We initially deployed a heavy foot command in our center, a medium foot command of mixed crossbows and longbows on our left, and a smaller medium foot command on our right. Our knights and sergeants formed up in the rear in two small commands. Our plan was to veer to our right, shifting our left wing behind the heavies to reinforce and support our right in a push through a large rough patch facing on the right. One mounted command would split off and cover our left refused, while the other would support the push around the right. We had a couple of light foot handgunners who we placed forward as scouts.
The Libyans deployed in a long line of medium foot with a few lights screening each flank. They had their heavy chariots massed in reserve in the center, but we didn't see them initially. They advanced steadily, wheeling their right to try to catch up with our shifting forces. Their heavy chariots slowly shifted to counter our advancing mounted threat on their left.
Our heavy foot and mounted punched through the center, while our mediums and mounted overwhelmed the enemy foot on our right. Our right wing mounted tied up and distracted the enemy chariots, one was seen off by massed bow and crossbow fire. A couple of our left wing mounted held up the enemy right.
The enemy irregular foot was really no match for our heavy foot or mounted. Even our medium foot was better armored and held up well enough as long as we kept our flanks secured.

Re: Chaos Tourney IX Results
Low_LOS V3 is available now as an ingame download. This hopefully closes an occasionally appearing bug where LOS is not limited on the first turn. Please download this and use this mod for future new games your post. Remember you'll need to install two versions for Medieval as well. Do not delete V2 from your game directories as you'll need that until you finish any ongoing games.

Karvon
