I like to create scenarios with special objectives, so I wouldn't say no to a few special units that have no other purpose than completing fun objectives. Escorting a supply convoy to a besieged city requires a few special units of that kind, for example

As far as I recall, the game mechanics themselves mean that any aircraft near an airfield is automatically resupplied with ammunition and fuel—unless, of course, the developer has restricted this functionality, as the esteemed Akkula so clearly did in his 1982 Falklands War ) As for in-flight refuelling, I reckon you’d need scripts or special hexes that allow for mid-air refuelling! As for depots, I reckon the same principles of scripts and special hexes apply there, so that equipment can be replenished automatically. The main thing is that we don’t get bogged down in management. Strikes on, say, a convoy of petrol tankers or supply lorries will provide a visual effect and add some flair to the storyline.
