This patch contains:


Achievements

- Achievement 60, You Know Nothing Mindaugas, changed

Warfare

- Garrisons never count as SAUs
- Probable fix for rebels providing too many units to some nations (Mamluks)
- All existing Heavy Cavalry units (i.e. in ongoing games) will receive the appropriate modifier (either Clumsy or Clumsy/Western).


UI

- You can reduce the UI and font scale below 100% (experimental) by directly editing EmpiresKingdoms\OPTIONS.TXT. Set GlobalUIScale and GlobalFontScale to values below 1000. It is recommended not to go below 850.
- Fixed a confusing inflation change message.
- Various typos fixed
- The Byzantine restoration message now appears less often at top priority.
- New shortcut (G) to get the list of PotR in the Province panel (Demesne)

Factions and Perks

- 1223 Campaign: Over 20 historical rulers added, with appropriate perks!
- Mongols get a 25% Penalty on Legacy gain
- Normans become Anglo-Norman (from Franco-Norman) in 1223 if they own London (applies to all campaigns and the 1223 start).
- The Latin Empire was incorrectly set as a potential Byzantine restorer You need either DLC1 or DLC2 to play any tribal or nomad nation Fixed an issue where whoever restored Byzantium lost the new DLC2 buildings

Religion

- New MCE decision to change religion if you are Pagan with at least 25% non-Pagan population in your realm (4 choices)
- Fix to Authority bug when capturing hostile Holy City.

Regions and buildings

- Fixed an issue where the Large Concentric Castle required a barbican as a mandatory prerequisite
- Structures upgraded from another will not be cancelled even if available slots are 0
- Fixed an extra link near Trebizond Buildings with a mandatory in-situ resource will check for it in setup

Diplomacy

- It is now much harder to make a nation larger than yours become your vassal, with a strong penalty if the Realm Tier differs and the requester is less advanced than the target
- Fix to a rare bug when the HRE Emperor gets vassals when DOW’ed

Not sure if this is affecting anyone else but 1.08.01 takes ages to close in Steam and shows 'Stopping' for an indefinite period. I cannot close FoGK manually since it is not displayed in Task Manager. There's no other workaround other than shutting down Steam or force closing it via the Task Manager and restarting.

Also, if I run and exit this same version of FoGK that I installed from the files on Slitherine's site into a separate directory and Steam happens to be running the latter will show FoGK 'stopping' well after I've exited the game.
