I use the latest patch - am I sad?

Post by pupski »

Just a little remark, not a real complaint. While playing the tournament(s) all my game start with a warning that I am using a newer version of the game and that incompatibility can give issues. In 2 of the 3 rounds so far I had one match per round crashing after a few turns. I have to reload and then see it crash again. Load and crash again. While focusing on how not to crash and reloading a few times I almost forget that I also have to play the game. In the ongoing game I just hurry and just make minimal moves and take minimal shots and still it crashes once or twice each turn. And while that can be annoying there is also the ghost lingering in a corner of my dark room that whispers that "I will be identified as a cheater".

So, am I a sad person for following instructions and updating my game with the latest patch? (which prevents those crashes by the way). Should I downgrade my game so that my opponents also get crashes? Will I not be a sad person when I do that?

Is anyone using the "correct" version besides me? It's only 15 people now.

:-)

I managed to enter myself into the current tournament by mistake.

I have received the same message but not had any issues so far but it is very early days.

I've played quite a few turns and experienced no crashing.

Fingers crossed it continues.
