Field of Glory-Kingdoms can't select scenarios, load, etc

Field of Glory-Kingdoms weirdness. So I just bought the bundle with the two DLCs. I cannot see the options to play any of the scenarios at all. Compare that with the image of Field of Glory-Empires. With FoG-Kingdoms, I can get into the settings to change things like game sounds, music level etc etc....but no way to select a scenario or pbem etc.
What gives here?

Also I bought via Steam.

Using a Win11 super gaming rig

Edit: So I uninstalled and reinstalled FoG-Kingdoms via Steam.
Getting the same screen (shown below) with no options showing to start a game, scenarios, etc, etc.
Compare that with FoG-Empires, which I bought last year. Upon installation of Empires, everything worked flawlessly and I have been playing continuously ever since in PBEM and SP. No hic-ups with way over 1000 hours of play.

2nd Edit: Also added image of FoG-Kingdoms launch screen which comes prior to the second Kingdoms screen

Even messed with screen resolution to see if something was missing on the bottom of the screen.
I am stumped........

It must be late. I figured it out... Midnight here.
Select the Emblems. No text to show you the way. Figured there must be a gateway when I moved the cursor down the bottom of the screen and saw a sword move.

wasn't there a tutorial that showed these the first time game is played? or am I hallucinating like the AI I am?
