[Low LoS] Problems with visibility

Hi,

Some problems with the LoS 9 Tiles module we used for Chaos Tourney.

I see people in the marsh. No surprise =(

First turn, in the replay of deployment, I can see the units beyond 9 tiles.

I have updated the low Los Mod for Ancients, Medieval, and Timewarp. Please use V2 for new games. One zip is for Ancients, the other Medieval/Timewarp. Place the SP mods in the campaign folders and MP mods in the MP folder.

Now available for in game download - Ancient and Medieval SP & MO

I downloaded in game on my desktop and now multiplayer in both games wont launch , i first get an error message saying invalid text file, must be standard windows UNICODE:
C:/Users/simon/onedrive/documents/my games/fieldofglory2/multiplayer/MP_LOW_LOS_V1/TEXT1.TXT(0)

i hit ok then i get the following messagefatal application Exit

***Unhadled exception! EXPcode0x80000003 EXPFLAGS:0 ExpAddress:0x0053F46D Please report


neither game will load multiplayer all i get is this message (2 messages ) each time
what should I do?

Delete the MP_LOW_LOS_V1 folder from the multiplayer folder. It is now obsolete and replaced by MP_LOW_LOS_V2

Having said that, I don't know why it would do that if it worked OK for other people, unless somehow the text1.txt file has got corrupted on your system. I have tried MP on Medieval on my system with both versions on the system and it does not give this error message.

Hopefully deleting the old (possibly corrupted) version from your system will solve the issue. If not, please post again.

Do not delete the original version, or you will mess up your games created with that version. The new versions have a
unique file name and description to destinguish them from the original release.

That only matters if he has any unfinished games created with that version. But he won't be able to play those anyway, if the old version crashes the game.

Sorry to be a pain, i tried that, it still would not work so I uninstalled everything reloaded everything but that file keeps coming in and now it wont work again, I dont know what else to do please advise, as i cant play at all(granted it works on my laptop but not on my PC desktop) only other solution is to buy a new desktop, as i guess there is a file somewhere that is causing issues.

I've made copies of the MP files from my games, which work on my machine.

Delete all the Low LOS folders from both games.

Download the following files and extract them in the respective MP folders.

Ancients MP

Sorry to be a pain, i tried that, it still would not work so I uninstalled everything reloaded everything but that file keeps coming in and now it wont work again

I don't want to derail the thread, but having read this, I wonder if this issue isn't related with OneDrive. Onedrive is the Microsoft cloud and if the file "keeps coming" as you say it, it could be because OneDrive is automatically restoring back the old file and causing this.

If you're not using OneDrive for backing up your files into the cloud, then I suggest you to uninstall it, as it can interfere with those games that use the Windows Documents folder for storing game information, like FoG II Ancients and Medieval do.

you Sir are a genius, it worked, i am not sure i can download those LOSupdates, as I can play it on my laptop but at least the multiplayer games in both games works again, thanks so much.
