differance between EaW and Strategic command

I am growing tired of SC and found EaW, but in reading the manual it appears to be only a dressed up version of SC, same play no paratroops for use.Any spectaular differance between the 2. Would love paratroops to drop

I can't comment on the differences between SC and CEAW, since I've never played SC.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in the scale we're talking about in a game like CEAW, paratroopers wouldn't qualify as a separate unit, since paratroopers were rarely deployed en masse on the scale to be considered an entire unit in the game.

Ah well I don't have time for a proper reply but I've played a _lot of SC and SC2 PBEM. I like CEAW better if you play it w/ the BJR mod. I'll try to write more detail later.

yes please, I want a SC with what looks like EaW detail, but not alot of feeding troops and large learning curve, just wanna play.
I understand the scale and paratropps note, but it aint dday without troops landing behind the lines, sure wish I could do that- could sc2 be my game?
but want hex with troops symbols not these toy soldier things

thanks, went ahead and bought it anyway. I wasn't gonna be happy tell I tried it. I can beat the nazis without paratroopers
