Passive AI in Axis Operations 1940's

Started playing the 39 campaign some weeks ago and purchased the 1940's campaign to continue. I've encountered a lot of counterattacks in the 39 campaign, but hardly any in the 40's campaign. Not too noticable in the netherlands scenario's due to weak dispersed forces, but very noticable in the Arras Scenario (lot's of AI troops and planes where hiding in the corner, Rommel's forces fully asleep) and earlier today I noticed it again in Lille scenario. Rommels forces on a bratwurst break again (but I don't know if that's as was intended) Worse, as long as I did not move troops to border the AI forces they would not engage. I tested taking victory hexes, then abandoning them for the AI largish forces a mere 2 hexes away. The AI never bothered retaking them. I bypassed an airfield - which gathered several fighters and bombers during the scenario - but none ever engaged any of my nearby units.

Tried restarting the game, restarting the computer. Am playing at normal difficulty, any suggestions?

Hello, afaik the passive AI problem can be solved by uninstalling/reinstalling the game

I sometimes have the them issue, but restarting a campaign normally helps. Or loading an old scenario.
Like andrea said, try reinstalling the game.

You can use cheatcode "setany iseeyou 1" to have a better look on the AI movements...to see, if its working or not.
