Panzer Corps 2 Jason Error

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if it isn't I'm new to the forum so please suggest where I should post. I just bought and installed Panzer Corps 2, started playing a PBEM game with a friend, we each made a few turns but now I can't get log in due to some sort of Jason error.

Had a little chat with AI, tried various things and apparently it's an issue with the Slitherine servers for the game. Checked here to see if there were others with the same problem but apparently not.

A few technical things, I bought the game through Steam so it looks like the handshake is at fault. I can play the game offline and other games on Steam work fine. I'm on Windows 11. Any help, advice or information on how I can get this sorted is very welcome. Many thanks in advance.
