I mentioned Mr Brandon's story to my wife who replied with a straight face... " He never used those dice when he beat you 25-0 at the IWF then ?'.

Divorce lawyer required.

Were you already disrupted? (You can't drop two levels from shooting.)
Yes, they were already disrupted. They weren't fragged for long as I recall as they still had a melee to fight.

Lasdt week end in Clichy tournament, I had a 8 bases group of dailamis with a general fighting 2 x 4 bases groups of legionnaries (without general).

I won the first two melee but lost 2 bases agains none :(
I lost the third melee and rolled 1,1,1 (death roll)
Reroll the 2 x 1 to get : 1, 1

And my opponent killed my general...

End of the 8 bases dailamis group ....:)

And I still managed to enjoy this game.

Superior Romans fighting in melee with a ++. I need 3-6 to hit, re-rolling 1's. I rolled four dice and rolled .... FOUR TWOS!

It was that kind of day.

I second what CrazyHarbor said. I've been an ancients gamer for longer than I care (or can) remember and in my opinion FoG, whatever its actual or percieved faults or shortcomings, provides our group with the best damn straight up enjoyable gaming experience ever - win or lose.

We cannot wait to see what the creative talent behind FoG does with FoG-R. :D

from the weekend

MF longbow, protected, sword poised to charge the rear of some almughavers, who cant really do much about it due to the Knights standing in front of them.

Heroic catalan skirmishers block the line of charge.
LB dont care and charge.
skirmishers stand.
skirmishers then beat the crap out of the LB.

the knights then go fragged when the lb break.

that takes the army.

earlier in the same game....

disrupted handgunners and 2 bgs of longbow shooting up some lh.
general goes to bolster handgunners. fails.
disrupted lh charge handgunners, who flee.
LH catch handgunners and break them
LH then catch them and kill the general

bound 3 (ish)

I heard about your pain Paul.

Now why didn't you have that sort of luck against my Catalans earlier?
