Solemnace Indian (Rajput) 1050CE-1339CE defeats aXunited Teutonic Order 1226-1319 with Polish 61-43

The Raiputs deployed in two main divisions sending mostly the less capable lancers and Elephants straight at the Teutonic and Polish while supporting infantry crossed rough terrain. The best Rajput cavalry was sent on a long flanking maneuver around the enemies right hoping to outflank them. Most of the Lancers in the first division were cut to pieces by the Teutons and Polish allies but with the help of the Elephants did significant damage to the Teutonic host and the flanking force with the aid of the Infantry eventually ended up doing enough damage to force the enemy from the field after a bloody day of fighting.

Maeglyr's Byzantines defeats rockmanbob123's bohemians [ 64 - 45 ]

On the right flank, a unit of Catalan Almograves succeeded, with the help of archers and light cavalry, in breaking the resistance of the armored lancers and opened the way for a reverse catch of the overconfident crossbowmen.

On the left flank, a chase race between Bohemian knights and steppe cavalry ended in slight disadvantage for the bohemians.

In the end, the battle was won thanks to the greater mobility of the Byzantine cavalry, which allowed them to distance the heavy knights and to proceed with salvatory flank charges for the frail skoutatoi. Indeed, the center of the Byzantine army did not withstand the shock and ended up scattered in the wind. The skoutatoi did not have the necessary equipment to hold long against the disciplined lancers and a particularly tough unit of knights on foot.

Note an epic duel between a unit of Byzantine light archers and Bohemian knights who charged them in difficult terrain. Glorious victory for the knights, after about ten turns wading in the mud.

Chris Townsend's Fatamid Egyptians 1074 w/ Crusader allies defeat Garokan's Polish 1155 with German (NW) allies 63 to 55.

The Poles came wandering to a dry part of the Middle East with and rough in the middle. They found an Egyptian infantry force deployed in rough of their own, backed by artillery, with light horses deployed to outflank the hill, and a mixed cavalry force deployed on the open flank. The Poles convincingly demonstrated their cavalry superiority (with the help of significant missile fire from their own rough) but couldn't hold the hill. The battle rotated around the Egyptian artillery emplacement, which eventually fell. But the cost to the Poles was too great, and they decided to return home to milder climes. A tough battle, with the standard wagon probably keeping the Poles fighting for as long as they did!

Opponent was unlucky as the terrain did not suit his army but having said that it turned out to be a close run battle until a series of breaks towards the end proved to be decisive. Good game.

A tough fight in which the knights took huge losses pushing their opponents out of their entrenched positions.

alexhstandish (Rus/Tatar) beat aXunited (Teutonics) 16:47

The Battlefield was restricted with woods which channeled knights on one side and Teutonic infantry and more knights on the other side. The Rus managed to isolate a number of knights and shoot them up sufficiently to charge and rout them. That said, several knight units galloped very quickly and caught Rus cavalry in the rear. Which did not end well. However, the Rus best equipped cavalry followed through some knight routs charging into the softer infantry and this won the day.

Maeglyr's Byzantines defeats alexhstandish's Russo-tatars [ 64 - 51 ]

The immensity of the Pontic steppe has never been studied seriously. In 1374, perhaps, two expeditionary forces, Byzantine and Russo-Tatar, met there. The soldiers of both sides really liked to make maps.

We thus saw many riders enthusiastically walking around the entire battlefield, collecting valuable data, rather than fighting.

Finally, the Skoutatoi, some wet-blankets, eventually pushed part of the Russian cavalry to the northwest to fight.

A close battle that was determined by the randomness of some pursuit routes, and a final reckless charge of Byzantine archers on foot, which put an end to the Russo-Tatar cartography.

Both sides fielded large contingents of heavy cavalry, including Norman knights. The battle ultimately hinged on whose horsemen returned to the fight first after vanquishing and pursuing their foes.

Solemnace Indian (Rajput) 1050CE-1339CE defeats Kashtronomical Chagatai Khanate (1266-1500 AD) with Islamic Persian 62-52

THe Rajputs rather bring their usual array of Lancers elected to bring infantry and foot archers with Elephants and Lancer support hoping to outshoot the Mongol host. This proved to be a mistake however and the Swarming horse archers of the Mongols initially got the upper hand inflcit bows both with mounted charges and massed archers which despite their best efforts the Rajputs couldn't counter effectively enough. As the battle was starting to look lost in an instant several units of elephants went on a rampage through much of the Mongol horse archers on the Rajput right flank routing a string of units in rapid succession and shifting the balance back in favor of the Indian army. The mongols tried their best to turn the tide once more but the Indians were ultimately able to do enough damage to force the Mongols to retreat leaving the field to the Rajputs to lick their wounds.
