Competition Rules: -
• Artillery
Any heavy artillery used must be the first battlegroup(s) deployed, followed immediately by any medium artillery used.
• Foot
As the Americas were two continents which did not have horses until the Spanish arrived, it would be inappropriate to have infantry barred from the flank zones. Therefore in this competition there will be no side flank zones. Thus Foot can deploy all the way across the board and: -
• Foot troops will not have to pass a CMT to move into, move in or charge non-mounted Battle Troops within 12 MUs from a side table edge.
• Foot troop will not suffer the minus POA when shooting at foot troops within 12 Mus from a side table edge.
• However, Foot troops will suffer a minus 1 on cohesion tests if any part of the battle group is less than 6 MUs from a side table edge. It makes no difference which way the battle group is facing.
Dragoons when making any move including an evade starting or ending within 6MU of the enemy, may make a full dragoon mounted move if they pass a CMT.
If they make a move which would be longer than that allowed to dragoons on foot they may shoot but as Carbines (range and effect) not Muskets as they are shooting from horseback, or have dismounted so quickly that they cannot shoot properly as a unit.
No more than 20% of the army can be Light Foot and/or Dragoons
• Mounted
Cavalry if they pass a CMT, can either move 2MU and turn 180, or turn 180 and move 2MU, as well as turn 180, move 2MU and turn 180.
Lists: - Updated lists for the armies taken into account new points and amendments are available as a word document from Ben Jones (ben@benedictjones.plus.com ). Ben will also be the list checker and should receive at least 2 weeks before the competition.

So a victor for the Spanish with a major Tlaxacallan ally. Thus the Native First Nations failed to throw these Spanish immigrates out of the Americas.
Congratulations to Paul Mace and Keith Spedding for their win.
Big thank you to Graham Sargeant of Battlefield Hobbies for his help and support over the weekend. Battlefield Hobbies a great venue for gaming.
We are already started planning for 2027.
