The first howitzers are already in service in Ukraine, while additional systems are currently being used in Germany for training purposes. The system is undergoing further improvements, and additional new variants are in development.

Well, let's hope that when you've had your fill of ancient Rome, you'll return to the modern era again.

I don't rule that out. Just as I need some peace and quiet from tanks and machine guns right now, the situation could easily reverse itself.

Yes, exactly. I'm considering creating a campaign on the side of the killing machines. Now that I've mustered up the courage to tackle RomeCorps, perhaps I should consider a standalone mod for Nexus and similar platforms. But that will take time, so please be patient.

Yes, I admit that you have become a seasoned modder who has even opened up completely new horizons in our favourite game! I wish you further creative success and the conquest of new heights, and we all need patience.

That's it, I've finished to play the "Ashinghton" campaign the other day and am ready for March of the Eagles !

I've already say it before, but I like the idea to have various scenarios on the same map. That way, we see the frontline moving and we are more into the battle... and it save a lot of time during the creation of the map

I managed to totally expel the Russians from England at first scenario without any unit lost and already recaptured Ashington at the end of scenario 2

Image

Screenshot from 1st scenario. At turn 14, no Russian left on British soil.

If Tobi want to rebalance something one day (not necessary in my opinion, even if I manage to end the invasion at the exact moment it started, it was challenging enough and I was close to loss critical units numerous time  ) or if a player need help on a particular mission, here is a link towards the replays :
https://www.mediafire.com/file/u5qhzkxk ... y.rar/file

As usual, your maps are extremely well made and nice looking !

On an unrelated note : Tobi, may I use your radar and other building icons you made on my owns campaigns ?
I know that you usually always accept and that I should stop ask, but politeness demands that I ask the question anyway

Hello Inmeror, thank you very much for your kind feedback. To be honest, I was a little dissatisfied when I played through this campaign again later, but it was already too late to make any changes. But I'm still glad you enjoyed it. Of course, you are welcome to use anything from my work. If you need anything else, please let me know.

Hey Bond

first of all, thank you very much for the kind words — I’m really happy that you enjoy my work!

The picture did make me raise an eyebrow for a moment though
On the one hand, the guys are holding the symbol upside down, and more importantly, I want to make one thing absolutely clear: I am definitely not a supporter of Nazi ideology. Not my thing, not my playlist.

I sincerely hope that my scenarios and campaigns have never given you that impression. I have always tried to keep a balanced choice of themes and to focus on history and gameplay — not on glorifying any ideology.

Thanks again for all your feedback so far. You are one of the most persistent, dedicated, and helpful players here on the forum, and thanks to you as well, I’ve been able to improve both my work and my skills quite a bit.

Toby, it's okay, I probably just didn't make a very good joke. It was the Croatians who started your companies and noticeably improved your skills. And you've definitely become a fashion trendsetter! Also, there's no need to faint at the sight of a swastika, since Adolf himself privatised it from ancient peoples!

No worries, I’m not about to faint 😄
I’m well aware of where Adolf got the idea from, and seeing it in a game — like in the PaK mod — doesn’t bother me at all. On the contrary, I think it actually adds to the authenticity of the mod.

The image itself just made me pause for a brief moment and reflect on how my campaigns and scenarios might be perceived by players. That thought crossed my mind only very briefly — nothing more than a moment of reflection.

Now that my position is clear, I’d say we simply continue as before.

:D I never even thought about that ) But now, probably every German who sees a swastika fears that they will be accused of revanchism ))) Now, alas, it is not Germans who wave flags with swastikas,

Oh, I see now that these are Croats. But, the irony is that at least half of them could easily classified as 'untermensch' by the Nazi racial standards.

I don't know what motivated them, but the swastika was even used in the Red Army ))) Before that, it was used in Japanese and Indian temples )))

Hitler believed—based on the pseudoscientific racial theories of his time—that the swastika was an ancient symbol of the supposedly “Aryan” peoples.
The fact that the symbol had actually appeared worldwide (India, Asia, Europe, the Americas) and usually represented good fortune, the sun, or life did not concern him. He reinterpreted it instead of placing it in its proper historical context.

Hitler himself described the party flag as a deliberately designed instrument of propaganda:

Red → emotional appeal, the masses
White → “the nation” (according to his interpretation)
Black swastika → the alleged “struggle of the Aryan race”

And he was successful with it, because this new flag had an almost hypnotic effect on the German population. The swastika was not used because it was German; it was used in order to make it German.

Croats were German allies in both world wars. And that flag is clearly a nazi symbol.

There was a civil war, apparently these weirdos identified themselves that way.
The rise to power of nationalists, the glorification of Nazi formations from World War II, the campaign against ethnic minorities and the ‘foreign’ Church, the purging of Interior Ministry employees disloyal to the new regime, and reliance on armed neo-Nazi militias — all these are features not only of today's Ukraine, but also of Croatia in the early 1990s. The similarities extend to the chants of street nationalists entrenched among football fans: ‘Srbe na virbe’ (‘Serbs on the willow tree’).

Now it's a fashionable brand again. As an educated person, I don't get hysterical when I see it.

Established in 1922 in the image and likeness of the Red Cross Society, but which was a subdivision of the religious organisation Daoyuan (), which professed a mixture of Buddhism and Taoism. Members of the Red Swastika wore a large red Buddhist swastika on their clothing. The society is still active in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore and is involved in charity work.

Let us return to the original point and move on to a new topic, namely the question of how things should proceed now that work on Modern Conflicts has been discontinued. There is still sufficient material available, but time does not stand still.
