In a few days, I will make several standalone scenarios available. After that, I will withdraw for a while and take a short break.

However, the next campaign is already in preparation, and its story will revolve around this man: Brennus. Whether this was a title or his actual name is unclear—but that hardly matters. This leader and his hordes will teach the Romans what fear truly means.

As for Carthage, I can say this much: I am determined to design a follow-up campaign, so make sure to keep your final save safe.BRN.png

Ок !I've already saved it for the future if there's a sequel to Carthage.

I'm thinking more along the lines of increasing the cost of cavalry, slightly reducing their defense stats, and subtly increasing the defense of the infantry, at least the spearmen.

Winter missions in Africa are definitely out of the question. The Romans weren't fans of winter warfare on the European mainland either, especially not against the barbarians in the north. But I'd say, maybe!
Just an idea that came up. What about giving the infantry movement type 2? Infantry will be able to move faster on-road than off-road. Movement value can be set higher and a "fuel" value must then be set as well. For that era "fuel" might actually mean "food".

Unfortunately no, I definitely won’t be able to do that. As I mentioned before, I will release a few more scenarios based on the current state of the mod (RomeCorps 0.2) and then take a break.

We're looking forward to the single-player scenario. Will it be possible to play for both sides?

Three new scenarios are now available: ‘Bloody Hill’, ‘No Mercy’ and a scenario based on a real battle between the Roman Republic and the mighty Carthage, the Battle of Lipari in 260 BC. While Scipio was at the Strait of Messina, he received information that the garrison of the city of Lipara was ready to defect to the Roman side. Lipara was the main port of the Lipari Islands and was a constant threat to Roman communications across the strait. Although his crews were still inexperienced and the newly designed and built ships were still undergoing sea trials, the consul could not resist the temptation to capture an important city without a fight and sailed for Lipara.

Yes, that is possible, but it could still be a little easier for one side than the other. These are not particularly large scenarios, just for your information.

I played in the battle for Lipan on both sides. With the Romans, I managed to capture all the important points, but I lost my entire fleet. With the Carthaginians, I managed to sink the entire fleet and defeat the enemy landing force. Overall, it was enjoyable. More details can be found in the screenshots and replays.

It's also an interesting battle, but there's no unit illustration in shopping mode. I'll try this battle for the opposing side now.

From what I've read, that's exactly what happened. The Romans were essentially lured into a trap; they managed to capture the city and the port, but their fleet of 17 warships was either destroyed or captured by the Carthaginians. On the island, the Romans were ultimately forced to surrender, and Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio earned the nickname "the Donkey".

I haven't made all the BigUnits available yet, that's true; I simply forgot some, thanks for the heads-up.

It's not just a game, it's a whole history textbook! Thank you, my friend, for helping me understand ancient times much better now! After all, it's not only books that teach us, but also games, if they are accurate, of course.

Damn those war elephants! Because of them, I didn't manage to capture the fortress. Now the elephants will be mine.

Well, it was much easier with war elephants ))) The enemies were completely destroyed, the fortress was taken, and the leader survived )))

Here I have recreated, as best as I could, the battle formation of Hamilkar's army against the mercenary rebels that I found on the net.

If you imagine the sheer terror that must have surged through the veins of warriors when a cavalry charge thundered toward the front lines, one can only wonder what went through their minds when a hundred war elephants came storming straight at them.
At that point, fear probably reached entirely new philosophical depths — and who knows… maybe that was the exact moment when someone seriously considered inventing the diaper.(Pampers)
