Game does not start with .exe from "8th Edition Update for Community"

Hello everyone
When I try to start the game with the "8th Edition Update for Community Version" .exe it crashes with the following error.

I bought the game on gog recently and hope someone of you knows what to do

you would have to contact who ever made the patch as it's a Community Version, only the Community use and have it, i'd hazard a guess that no one here as seen or know anything about it im sorry to say me included

Thanks for the reply I just now managed to get it to run.
There is an old thread with someone having the same problem here: viewtopic.php?t=93072

I managed to start it now. I assume this can be closed or deleted or what is custom here

I encountered another error something like "access violation reading x0-4" first thing when starting the basic campaign.. that I could not solve or find anything how to fix it. I just play it unmodded it's fun as well.
