The final round is the War of the Spanish succession about the year 1710.

The Habsburgs can choose between;

Austrian 1699-1732

Holy Roman Empire 1699-1732

British 1699-1726

Dutch 1699-1720



The Antis (pro-French)

Can choose between

French 1699-1732

French 1699-1732

Franco-Bavarian 1701-1726

Franco-Savoy 1699-1738

During the long sea voyage, the Dutch gunpowder became so wet that the numerous duds that appeared during the battle prevented the Dutch from putting up an equal fight against the Sun King's army.
However, the sea is not always their ally.

In my game against Doyley50, my British won against Alan's French 45-17.
The murderous firing felt more like the Franco Prussian War than Marlborough. Thanks to Alan for the game.

The French had more heavy guns which was enough to make the difference when the shooting started.

At the end of the 6th and final round the Habsburgs have won 12 battles, and the Antis have won 12 battles.

So, after 190 years of struggle and the deaths of thousands there has been no decisive shift in the power of the Habsburgs.

Until next time Gentlemen I thank you for the positive attitudes displayed by everyone. This is the first campaign I've run where all the players stayed for the entire campaign.

Good luck in your games, may they always be fun and interesting.

I will run another sometime in the future, probably starting in March
