Only Prussia and Sweden have so far maintained a peaceful attitude and it is therefore time for these two proud peoples to enter into an alliance aimed at dissuading the aggressors from further undue offensive actions.
We therefore invite the Lion of the North to our royal residence, trusting that this meeting can be used to discuss the details of a treaty that guarantees peace and prosperity to Sweden and Prussia!

"Well Sir, but we made a preemptive attack only after your King reportedly announced in front of his Court:
I'm telling Emperor Charles that the King in Prussia has arrogated himself to being the King of Prussia. Perhaps the Elector of Saxony can do the Emperor's dirty work here.
Which was an expressed declaration of war through a third party!"

I was merely suggesting what may happen, and by recent events have proven true. Perhaps you should have rewarded me for providing such timely and truthful intel. Moreover, when did words equal action. It appears that a paranoid Court sits in Berlin.
Re: BALTIC CAMPAIGN AD 1735
The Most Serene Royal Army of the Danes have engaged the Swedish dogs. Contact across the whole line, blistering cannon fire from the Swedes has checked some of the Danish advance. The Danes have attempted a sweeping flank attack but the Swedes shrewdly kept reserves on that end of the line to check such a move. Units are starting to fail morale checks on both sides, only God knows who will hold the field at sundown. The terrain kept much of each other's armies hidden in the beginning so both sides are reaping the results of blindly advancing into the unknown.

Sweden
The news from the front is grim.
Reports suggest our centre has collapsed and while resistance continues on both flanks preparations have begun for a rapid, but orderly, withdraw towards the capital.

Messangers are arriving constantly, stay tuned for developments.

Toilet paper is now subject to rationing, two rolls per family.
Trust in God, trust in blood, trust in iron.

In such enlightened society, there is certainly no shortage of newspapers to prevent a crisis.Lysimachos wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 8:33 ammarkleslie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:03 am

News from the front
The Danish Army held the battlefield after a 49-43 victory over the Swedes. At one point the battle looked completely over,
and our Field Marshall retired to a local Swedish village to distribute toilet paper to the suffering locals. However, miraculously two Swedish units unrouted themselves giving those curs a lifeline they exploited to great effect, routing large numbers on our flanks who thought the battle won - it nearly evened the score! Reluctantly, we must admit the Swedes fought bravely and equally deserved glory had things gone a little different.

A tragic setback for the Fatherland but I swear, IT SHALL NOT BE THE LAST!
Smaland shall be restored, honour satisfied and the toilet paper shall flow!!!

Re: BALTIC CAMPAIGN AD 1735
The frenzied frontal assault by the drunken Saxon troops (no one in their right mind would have done this, but unfortunately we had Poles) ended in a surprising 40:8 victory. The road to Berlin is wide open!

AD 1739
Encounter Battle in Brandenburg
Prussian – Saxon 40% - 8%
Prussian strategic defeat
Drunk from the early hour of the day, after badly scouting the countryside, the General in command of the Prussian army, not satisfied of his deed, begun deploying his men in an uncoordinated fashion, creating chaos along the whole line.
When the Saxon army advanced, the soldiers, having lost the needed trust in their commander in chief, behaved poorly, giving immediately ground to the enemy, so starting a flight that collapsed the entire front.
Luckily the General found it more suitable to die falling from his horse during the retreat than to present himself in front of the King.
To save the situation, a mass levy of all the farmers of the realm was ordered to block any further enemy advance.

AD 1739
Encounter Battle in Prussia
Prussian – Polish 46% - 48%
Prussian marginal victory
Forced once again to go into battle against the harassing Poles, the King of Prussia arranged his troops in an orderly linear formation, anchoring his left flank to some hills and villages in the area, and confidently awaited the enemy attack.
The fight was fierce and bloody and the units in the center suffered heavy losses, being almost wiped out from the field, before the cavalry on the left side was able to gain the day.
At the end of it the King, still tired and covered in mud, could not celebrate the victory but, having received news of the disastrous defeat in Brandenburg, jumped on his horse to head west in great haste immediately ordering a mass conscription of all available men …
