WTC25 ROUND 3 TEAM SCORES AND STANDINGS

Note all Points, Loss, Damage and Difference scores are now cumulative across all rounds.

The match between the top two has four games completed and both teams have added 10 points. Halfway through the match all that separates the teams is 11 additional points of damage in favour of The Armchair Heroes. In tournament terms The Heroes remain two wins behind Furor who hold on to top spot.
No games declared in match 2 but Desperta, with two big wins, jump from eighth to fourth, splitting the competitors in Match 2, just one point ahead of Zhu Que and 2 points behind The Champians.
Desperta's leap forward also cost L'épée a tournament place though L'épée increased points winning the first game in their match with Comites.
L'épée manage to to stay just ahead of Ursa who have posted two wins in their own match and have, currently, halved the distance from L'épée moving up to seventh.
The Wargaming Club's civil war is currently advantage The Wargaming Club 2 who have two wins and 10 points to The Wargaming Club 1's one win and 6 points. Also early advantage goes to Lupi Belli in the match with Legio Cincinnata.

The Wargaming Club civil war is the first match to finish and having been behind after the first games The Wargaming Club 1 finish with five wins to their opponents three.
At the top Furor Gallico post bonus wins to make it four wins to three wins in Furor’s favour. Their seven point advantage, at round start, had been narrowed but is now increased to ten. It will come down again if the Armchair Heroes win the last game in their match.
Zhu Que jump back into third place with two wins in their match against the Champians and open up a seven point advantage over their opponents. The Champians stay just two points ahead of Desperta. All three teams have six games to declare. Just another handful of points away from these three are L’epee and Ursa Major with six and four games to finish.
Lupi Belli have moved up again and with four games to declare are just two good wins away from challenging for a place.
Worth bearing in mind it is only six good wins, thirty-six points, between Desperta and bottom of the standings.
It is all going to change again.

At the top Furor Gallico lost the last game in match 1 to The Armchair Heroes. So, this very tight match finished at four wins apiece but with the points just in The Armchair Heroes favour at 21-18. That means Furor stay top but with a thin 4 point lead not the 7 points they started the round with.
Zhu Que having, very, temporarily lost third place got it back once more with three wins to The Charming Champians two. Three games left to finish means either team could move to level with Furor by registering big bonus wins in all three of the last games. That seems unlikely in this match.
Meanwhile L’epee and Comites, Desprta and Laser Kiwi, and Ursa vs The Knights are all even matches. The teams remain difficult to separate, continuing to exchange victories and defeats. They have now been joined in the congested middle by Lupi Belli. Just 13 points between them all means every one of these teams remains very possible top three finishers for Round 4 or Round 5.
The first two results from match 6 between Boudica's and Trans Atlantic are advantage Boudica's. Boudica's could, mathematically, reach the top three with four big wins out of the six remaining games but will Trans Atlantic let this happen. Will one finuish the round near the top or both in an even more crowded centre?

Matches 1, 7 and 8 are completed.
At the top of the table Furor sit just 4 points ahead of The Armchair Heroes. They cannot be overtaken and cannot play each other again. So round 4 all depends on the ranking below them. The Charming Champians are again ahead of Zhu Que - but is this once again temporary?
Either of these teams can be overtaken by any one of the four teams, barely separated, below them; L'épée, Boudica's, Desperta or The Kiwis. Any of the three teams below them The Knights, Ursa and Comites can squeeze into this group.
Just four and a half days to decide.
