In this campaign, it could very well represent the Diadochi uniting against the one of them becoming too powerful; á la Seleucus, Ptolemy, Lysimachus, and Cassander supporting each other against "poor" Antigonus (poor in the sense that he got bullied by them plus only had one eye ).
