Tournament - PvP - Scoring ?

Hi, I'm still having some problems understanding the scoring calculations of the games in the tournament. Please mind, I don't care if I win or lose, I am just in in for the fun and the challenge no matter the outcome. But listen, and if possible, explain what I am missing.

So my last game ended in a score of 36 - 36 at turn 18. At my last turn I had 49 (out of 50) points and my opponent had 47 points, I killed 41 units against my opponents 31 kills, and was in possession of 5 of the 7 victory objectives. 'How come the game than ends in 36 versus 36?

And how are the points calculated. If he had loaded the game, what would the score be? Would he receive his 2 victory points making the score 49 versus 49 at that moment? Or would it show my possession of victory point making the score 49 vs 54? And if I had more kills at game end and more victory objectives, doesn't that make any difference in the end scoring? And would he have been able to load and finish his turn wouldn't I have automatically won because of my advantage? Even if he had been able to catch a victory objective back?

So many questions. In the end I see a score and see I am leading (in this case) with 49 vs 47 but what does that mean if I don't know what score will be shown to my opponent when he loads the game. I think there could be more clarity and logic in the PvP scoring system in the end. Thanks for any help in understanding the precise calculations, especially what the scoring shows in my turn and my opponents turn, and when the points are added and why?

Here's a screen of the end of my turn. I forgot to make a screenshot of the last scoring that is normally shown after pressing the X key. In the replay of that last turn it doesn't seem possible to use the X key. I played the Germans in this situation.
