I am moving away from a coastal region, but get caught by the Castilians who invaded from the sea.

There is an army of 8 units in the city plus its garrison. Which are not in the combat, so he didn't move to attack the city.
Apparently I am the attacker and hence loses, I blame my incompetent general.
But after the combat he is in control of the city and region and the army in the city is nowhere to be found, there are no extra combats where he storms the city.

ie. he gets the city by defeating the field army even though the city is heavily garrisoned.
I my playbook he would have been sieging it after the combat.

bug or what am I not getting here.

The issue probably revolves around the IsSortie flag that has been set for the garrison. Is it in MP? If so, try reproducing the issue in SP using Switch Faction; it should be reproducible. If it’s already in SP, please provide the saved game from the previous turn.
