Pontus. No skirmishers

Just recently come back to the game after a couple of years so witll have missed a lot.

Pontus do not have a basic javelin/sling skirmisher? Instead they get 2 archer options. One being the regional unit and both being very expensive.

The bolster colony regional decision is supposed to give you 2 of your skirmiskers along with a wall and shepherd hut.

I have played several of these in 2 different games and have never received the skirmishers.


Is this a bug?

Anybody have the same issue or is this a me thing....

Whole area seems to just have archers and all being regional units that escalate quickly to 100+ gold and mean you cannot realistically have enough skirmishers to cover all your armies.
It appears that the south and east Black Sea region has a shortage of javelins....



In the meatime...... Rome pumps out many armies that are almost totally vellites. Horribly historically inaccurate..... Rome is so overpowered in the game. Yes later republican legions became all powerful but only after contact with enemies who beat their early legions.
Hannibal gave their legions a damn good smacking several times proving that they were beatable.... Maybe Hannibal is a 2-2 and has infinate motivate troops?
